Case Study

Royal Medows

Edinburgh • Scotland

McIntyre Masonry Ltd carried out stone restoration works at Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh on the Meadows.

The building, previously used as a hospital, is now being transformed into luxurious apartments. The work consists of extensive stone replacement and lime mortar pointing. One area on the north elevation had an external lift shaft. Once this shaft was removed the stonework underneath required a full restoration and new impressive dormer windows were added to complete the look.
